Foreign Relations confirms its readiness to work with Arab League for Syrian crisis

The 33rd Arab Summit Conference was held in the Bahraini capital, Manama, last Thursday, and after completing the discussion, it issued a final statement on the summit’s work.

Commenting on the statement issued by the Arab Summit, the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a written statement that said:

“With the conclusion of the work of the recent Arab Summit held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the statement contained, specifically in the sixth item, a comment on the situation in Syria, including the issue of the safe return of refugees, as well as the rejection of the processes of demographic change and the political process.

We affirm that what was stated in the final statement on Syria is “necessary and important,” which is a positive Arab position on the necessity of resolving the basic dilemmas that hinder reaching understandings about Syria between the Syrians and influential powers in Syria.

They also stressed that what is happening today in Afrin and the occupied regions of Syria contradicts all Arab efforts keen to achieve stability in our country, due to the forced displacement and demographic change processes, not to mention the practices of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

We also affirm that we are ready and open to work with the Arab League and all forces in combating terrorism, safe return and preventing processes of demographic change, calling on the Arab League to put pressure in a way that serves the aspirations of the Syrian people towards ending the occupation and achieving stability.
