Fires spread west of Tal Tamer

A large fire broke out today in the countryside of Tal Tamr, after flames ignited around the two Turkish bases in the occupied villages of Laylan and Al-Arisha. Fueled by the wind, the flames quickly spread to vast areas of farmland.

The fire rapidly spread, reaching areas near the village of Tal Tawil, raising fears that it would further engulf more fields and crops, which are the primary source of livelihood for the local population.

In response, emergency teams in Tal Tamr declared a state of full alert, deploying their equipment and personnel to the fire sites to contain it and prevent its spread. Firefighting and support teams from the cities of Hasaka and Al-Darbasiyah also joined the firefighting efforts.

Emergency teams and residents are continuing their efforts to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to additional areas, amid difficult field conditions and fears of a repeat of the large losses caused by the recent fires in the rural areas of Tal Tamr and Zergan, which caused extensive damage to agricultural crops, property and agricultural infrastructure in the region.
