A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a wheat field in the village of Gendek Sayed, located southeast of the city of Tirbê Spîyê, requiring the intervention of emergency response teams and local residents to extinguish it.

The emergency response teams, in collaboration with local residents, successfully contained and extinguished the fire before it could spread to other agricultural areas.

The fire destroyed three dunams of wheat crops, according to ANHA correspondent in the region.

According to preliminary information, the cause of the fire was a spark that originated from agricultural crops while they were being harvested in the field, which subsequently ignited the vegetation.

During the harvest season, Jazira regions face increased risks of agricultural fires due to rising temperatures and the use of agricultural machineries, prompting authorities to emphasize the implementation of safety and prevention measures to protect crops.
