Escalation of land bulldozing; Israeli incursions in rural Quneitra

Israeli forces continue to bulldoze vast areas of trees in the countryside of Quneitra, alongside carrying out field incursions and setting up checkpoints. This scene reflects an escalation in violations within Syrian territories and increased Israeli military activity near the Golan.

For the past two days, Israeli forces have been conducting extensive bulldozing operations in the Jibata al-Khashab nature reserve area in the Quneitra countryside, affecting more than 100 dunams of forest trees. This comes amid escalating incursions into Syrian territory over recent days.

This morning, a new incursion by Israeli forces was observed on the road connecting the village of al-Samdania al-Sharqiya and the town of Khan Arnabah, north of Quneitra. They set up a temporary security checkpoint and conducted searches of pedestrians and vehicles amid a state of heightened security alert and tension in the surrounding area.

This development comes one day after the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights SOHR reported an Israeli patrol consisting of five military vehicles crossing the border towards the town of Tal al-Krum in central Quneitra countryside. They set up a checkpoint before returning to their positions near the border strip with the occupied Golan Heights.

The incursions continue without any intervention from the Syrian Interim Government, raising fears among citizens due to the escalating Israeli movements.
