The General Security of the Damascus authorities arrested three Druze youths while attempting to travel to Lebanon, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that the arrests took place at a General Security checkpoint near Ashrafieh Sahnaya in the Damascus countryside. The youths were severely beaten by checkpoint personnel before being taken to an unknown location.

It is worth noting that one of the youths had previously been detained in Sednaya Prison for a year and a half before being released at the end of 2024 after the fall of the Ba'athist regime.

We reported a few hours ago that three Kurdish citizens from Afrin were kidnapped on the Deir Hafer road while heading to the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods by Turkish occupation mercenaries.

Another Kurdish youth, Ahmed Othman Hammou, was also kidnapped at the Shatt checkpoint on the Azaz-Afrin road by the General Security forces affiliated with the Damascus authorities.

Yesterday, members of a General Security patrol arrested five Alawite individuals, including a 17-year-old boy, during raids in the eastern al-Jubaybat and al-Farwa neighborhoods in Jableh, in the Latakia countryside. They were then taken to an unknown location, and their fate remains unknown. The operation included firing shots in the air and verbally insulting the detainees and their Alawite sect, creating a state of tension and fear among the residents of the area.
