Al-Sudani urges to involve all Syrian sects in building citizenship state

 Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani highlighted the importance of Syria's stability and what stability entails to Iraqi national security.

The Prime Minister Media Office released in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a delegation of the Shiite Islamic Scholars Association in Syria, headed by Sheikh Adham al-Khatib."

The statement went on to say that "the meeting dealt with Syrian developments, affirming support for efforts to create a culture of reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, and to improve stability and social peace." During the meeting, according to the statement, the Prime Minister stressed "the importance of Syria's stability and what it represents to Iraqi national security," stressing "the importance of the involvement of all Syrian people segments in the establishment of a citizenship-based state, preserving Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and denouncing any violation of it."
