Suleiman Oso, the member of the Presidential Body of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS) and Secretary of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party, spoke to ANHA Agency about the importance of Kurdish unity in Rojava.

Oso stated that their happiness at holding the conference is indescribable and described it as a historic step.

"For the first time, the Kurdish people — with all their political parties, civil society organizations, tribal representatives, and families — are endorsing a collective document through a comprehensive conference. This conference is a success and a victory for the Kurdish people as well, as the entire Kurdish people have now determined their position regarding the future of Syria, to secure their rights within it," Oso said.

Oso emphasized that with the success of the conference and Kurdish unity, a new phase free of conflicts and evil will begin, which is the implementation of the document's provisions. He continued: "We hope that these provisions will be implemented in the coming days."

Suleiman Oso also pointed to another important aspect of the conference, which is the stage Syria is currently going through, saying that the regime that oppressed the Kurdish people and deprived them of their rights has been overthrown. He stated: "Now, a new Syria is being built, and it was necessary for the Kurds in this new Syria to unify their voice."

Commenting on the post-conference phase, Suleiman Oso said: "The next stage is the negotiation phase. We tell the entire Syrian people that the unity of the Kurds is the unity of all of Syria, and their strength is the strength of Syria. Foreign countries must also know that building Kurdish unity does not mean opposing them. We seek brotherhood and respect."
