DAA: Qamishlo Conference is step toward unified Syria

The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA)considered the convening of the Kurdish Unity Conference a step on the path toward a unified Syria, expressing its aspiration for greater achievements in unifying the ranks of the Syrian components in a way that would enhance the realization of a smooth transitional process, leading to the establishment of a new constitution and a new era for a democratic Syrian Republic.

The DAA congratulated, in a statement, the convening of the Kurdish Unity and Position Conference, which was held yesterday in the city of Qamishlo.

 In its statement, the Administration stated:

"As the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria, we see this unity as a step toward a unified Syria based on solid democratic foundations, establishing a homeland whose sons and daughters are proud of their full national identity without denying any of their rights."

 "We highly value the great will of the Kurdish people in Syria, as well as the regional and international efforts that helped and contributed to the success of this conference, represented by the United States of America, the Republic of France, and the Kurdistan Regional Government," the statement added.

 In light of the positive developments resulting from this unification, the Autonomous Administration affirmed the continuation of the dialogue process with the transitional government to help secure the rights of all components.

 The Administration also expressed its aspiration for greater achievements in unifying the ranks of Syrian components, adding: "This would enhance the realization of a smoother transitional process and strengthen the work of dialogue committees, leading to the establishment of a new constitution and a new era for a third democratic Syrian Republic that meets the aspirations of all Syrians and brings peace and stability."
