Daesh cell arrested in Deir ez-Zor countryside
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in cooperation with the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), carried out a security operation during which they arrested all members of a Daesh (ISIS) cell in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

As part of their ongoing efforts for the second consecutive day to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist cells, and with the participation of the YPJ, the SDF (commando units) conducted a security operation yesterday, Friday, in the town of Al-Busayrah in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside. The operation targeted the arrest of members of a Daesh sleeper cell.
The operation came after the forces completed the collection of accurate intelligence on the activities and movements of the terrorists. They were able to identify the locations the members frequented and the hideouts where they were taking refuge. A tight security cordon was imposed around their hiding place, and all members of the cell were arrested. The group had been planning to carry out "terrorist" attacks targeting the Syrian Democratic Forces, security forces, as well as civilians and civil and service institutions in the area.
The Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed that they will not tolerate any force that threatens the security and stability of the region. They will continue working to preserve public safety and civil peace and will not allow the region to become a haven for terrorism and chaos.
