DAA: Targeting Qamishli is part of systematic genocide

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAA) confirmed that the Turkish shelling of the vicinity of the Heart and Eye Hospital in Qamishli wounded 4 civilians.

The DAA issued a statement regarding the Turkish occupation's targeting of the vicinity of the Heart and Eye Hospital in Qamishli, which stated:

"Once again, the Turkish occupation state is practicing escalation against our regions, in order to undermine their stability and also in revenge for the failure of its projects to create strife and chaos, especially in Deir ez-Zor and other regions, in agreement with the Damascus regime.

The targeting represents the systematic practice of genocide and a plan to destabilize our regions, as well as disrupting efforts to develop service and health sectors.

We at the DAA confirm that the escalation is pushing the region towards an "open war", stressing the need for human rights and humanitarian bodies as well as international organizations, in addition to the forces partnering in the fight against terrorism to limit these practices that violate all international restrictions and norms.
