The DAA delegation included Karim Qamar, Kadar Beri, Faner Hajjan, and Hendrin Mohammed. The session was opened by Thomas Port, MP from the France Audacieuse party, and the delegation provided an overview of recent developments in Syria, including dialogue and negotiations with the Transitional Government.

Topics discussed during the session included:

Prospects for the meetings and the regional role affecting the negotiation process.

Expected role of France as an influential actor and guarantor in the dialogue with Damascus.

Security situation in Syria, inclusion of local communities, and their role in the political process.

Recent developments in Turkey’s peace process and their impact on Syria’s political and military situation.

In an exclusive statement to ANHA Agency, Kadar Beri, member of the DAA delegation in France, said the session consisted of questions from French MPs, mainly concerning the attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo and obstacles preventing the Transitional Government from implementing the 10 March Agreement.

Beri added that the delegation responded to all questions and highlighted Turkey’s role in undermining and obstructing any Paris-led negotiation efforts. MPs were told that Turkey was responsible for disrupting the Paris meeting and exerts control over the Transitional Government, its officials, and affiliated figures, including Hassan Al-Daghim, who participates in all meetings without holding an official position.

Beri emphasized that the meeting was official and convened at the request of the French Parliament. While the delegation has previously held regular meetings with the Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Élysée Palace, this session was specifically requested by French MPs to raise questions and seek clarifications from the DAA delegation in Paris.
