Field sources documented continued attacks and violations by transitional government forces in Deir Hafer and its countryside from early August to mid-October 2025. These incidents resulted in eight civilian deaths, including four children, and nine injuries, including four children.

During this period, military escalation involved repeated artillery and air strikes targeting both Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions and civilian-populated areas.

On 2 August, armed groups carried out intensive artillery shelling on Deir Hafer. The SDF exercised their right to self-defense and responded to the source of fire.

On 11 September, the groups attempted to infiltrate and attack the area with artillery, but the SDF fully repelled the attempt.

On 20 September, air and artillery strikes intensified on the village of Umm al-Tina, with drones targeting civilian homes, resulting in eight civilian deaths, including four children, and four injuries.

On 23 September, transitional government forces launched an attack with two suicide drones on an SDF post in Deir Hafer, followed by hours of indiscriminate artillery shelling in the village of Zubaida, injuring four children.

On 5 October, the Deir Hafer crossing and surrounding areas were struck by suicide drones, injuring one civilian.

On 10 October, forces renewed air and artillery attacks on the same crossing along the Raqqa–Aleppo road, causing no casualties.

Since December 2024, following the fall of the Baath regime, transitional government forces have carried out sporadic attacks on SDF positions along the Deir Hafer front lines. The SDF has consistently exercised its legitimate right to respond to these attacks.
