Crimes by Turkish occupation mercenaries in Afrin: kidnapping, theft, infighting

According to the Afrin – Syria Human Rights Organization, Turkish occupation mercenaries "the military police" kidnapped citizen Mohammed Walid Issa (45 years old) on Monday, October 14, in the city of Afrin, a week after he returned from Lebanon. He was abducted from a house on the Tirindah road, south of the city.

In a related incident, settlers on Monday, October 14, stole olive fruits from several fields near the villages of Qara Tepeh and Qurtqlaq in the city of Sharran, belonging to citizens: Mohammed Mousa, Ahmed Jassim, Nouri Mousa, Imad Hanan, Mohammed Hanan, and Ahmed Hanan.

On another note, settlers cut down 14 pomegranate trees from a field near the village of Aindara after stealing their fruit. The field belonged to citizen Hussein Hamo, a resident of the village.

Regarding the sale of citizens' property, a settler originally from Douma in rural Damascus sold a house belonging to citizen Mohammed Hassan, a resident of the village of Aster, northwest of Afrin city, to another settler for $1,600 (as if he were the property's owner) after dividing the house into two parts.

The organization also pointed to infighting between settlers at Kawa Roundabout in Afrin city on Tuesday due to a dispute over seizing a shop belonging to citizen Khaled Mohammed, a resident of Rajo town, located near the roundabout.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes in occupied Afrin, including kidnapping, killing, cutting, and burning trees, theft, and trafficking in citizens' properties without any deterrent, violating all human and international values and standards.
