The Afrin Syria Human Rights Organization reported that masked gunmen killed Mohamed Ahmad Darwish (55), a resident of the village of Burj Abdalow, part of Shirawa city in the occupied Afrin countryside, on the evening of Thursday, November 6, 2025.

According to the organization, the crime occurred while Mohamed was in his orchard, having dinner with his wife inside their tent, when two masked individuals broke in. One of them was carrying a pistol and fired directly at Mohamed, causing him to fall to the ground before the assailants fled.

He was taken to a hospital in Aleppo, but later died from his injuries.

Killing, robbery, and looting incidents are increasing in areas occupied by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, amid a lack of accountability and the widespread presence of weapons and drugs, deepening the state of chaos and lawlessness in the region.
