Call for global demonstrations in support of Kurds on Saturday, Sunday

The Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) and the Congress of Democratic Kurdish Society in Europe (KCDK-E) issued a joint statement calling for a general mobilization to organize demonstrations worldwide on January 31 and February 1, 2026.

The statement included a call to protect the women-led Rojava Revolution and to defend Kobani.

It noted that the barbaric attacks by mercenaries of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which began on January 6, 2026, with support from the Turkish state against Rojava, have collided with a wall of resistance and been thwarted.

The statement said:

“In all four parts of Kurdistan, the national Kurdish people and their friends are standing up against the barbaric mercenary attacks.”

The statement continued:

“The mask of hostility toward the Kurds and women has fallen from the face of the Turkish state. It speaks of peace and brotherhood, yet in reality extends its hand to barbaric mercenaries and provides them with all forms of support to annihilate the Kurds. Alongside the massacres in Kobani, Erdoğan openly supports the barbaric killer al-Jolani. He does not merely support the war but participates in it and endorses it.”

The statement declared that the Kurdish people possess deep historical experience in resistance, stating:

“Just as genocidal policies were defeated through struggle, and just as the victory of Kobani was achieved, this phase too will be decided through resistance. The Turkish state is attempting to emerge victorious from the impasse it has fallen into; therefore, it engages all its forces alongside mercenaries in an effort to achieve results.”

It added that these attacks on Rojava represent a new phase of the international conspiracy, noting that the guarantor states remain silent and thus become partners in these attacks.

The statement also pointed to the suffocating siege imposed on Rojava Kurdistan. As the Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) and the Congress of Democratic Kurdish Society in Europe (KCDK-E), it called for escalating resistance and urged everyone to rally around the resistance in Kobani.

The statement concluded with the following call:

“In order to open a humanitarian corridor and ensure the victory of the resistance, we must embrace it strongly. We must raise, loudly and in public squares, slogans demanding recognition of Rojava. Therefore, we call for general mobilization and broad participation, urging everyone to mobilize those around them for the demonstrations on January 31 and February 1, 2026, which will be held in many centers around the world with the participation of hundreds of thousands.
