Barzani: We support peace and need to guarantee Kurdish people's rights in new Syrian constitution

In his message to the conference "Unity of Kurdish Ranks and Position for Rojava Kurdistan," Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani affirmed that the region supports peaceful methods to achieve peace in the region, emphasizing the importance of guaranteeing the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria within the new constitution.

The official in charge of the Syrian file in the Kurdistan Region Presidency's office read a message from Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani during his participation in the "Unity of Kurdish Ranks and Position for Rojava Kurdistan" conference in Qamishli. Barzani congratulated the conference, considering it "an important step toward unity and a Kurdish vision in Syria."

In his message, Barzani expressed his hope that the conference would meet the aspirations of the Kurdish people and thanked the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, for his role in making the event a success.

He added that the developments in the region have opened the way for "the Kurdish people to struggle and achieve their rights."

He continued, "The Kurdish people have adopted a struggle to achieve their rights." He added, "We support peaceful paths for peace in the region." He said, "We hope that the Syrian people will struggle for their rights, that a constitution will be drafted that guarantees Kurdish rights, and that the Kurdish people will attain all their legitimate rights."

He emphasized that this conference paves the way for Kurdish and Kurdish powers to unify their ranks and opens the way for a unified vision for the Kurdish people in a new Syria, which will positively impact neighboring countries.

The conference "Unity of Kurdish Ranks and Position in Rojava Kurdistan" began this morning, with the participation of more than 400 figures from Rojava and Northern and Southern Kurdistan, in addition to figures from several Syrian regions and representatives of Kurdish and Kurdish parties and powers. The conference will continue with speeches by the participating delegations.
