The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria today completed the preparation of an urgent humanitarian aid convoy for the residents of Sweida. The convoy is still awaiting a safe passage to reach those in need, given the worsening security and humanitarian situation in the region.

The convoy includes medical and relief supplies, prepared entirely at the expense of DAANES institutions, in direct response to repeated calls from within Sweida.

The DAANES has set a timetable for the convoy's arrival within a week at most, with the administration prepared to dispatch additional convoys if the route is secured.

Those overseeing the convoy called for the humanitarian situation to be kept separate from political and military conflicts, stressing that they are in contact with international organizations to ensure the delivery of aid without any politicization. They stated that the priority now is to save lives and alleviate suffering in an area suffering from widespread service paralysis and a severe shortage of medical and food supplies.
