Attacks on Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh aim to undermine democratic project

Hoshank Ali stated: “What the Interim Government forces are doing proves that there are those who do not want Syrians to live in peace based on brotherhood and coexistence.” 

He added: “The kidnappings and road closures are not coincidental — they are part of a deliberate plan to spread fear and undermine security.”

Ali emphasized: “Our will is stronger than all intimidation efforts, and we will not allow anyone to threaten our stability or the achievements we have built.”

Abdel Ghani al-Hanshar explained that the Interim Government forces aim “to impose policies designed to subjugate the population, weaken their morale, and exert psychological and material pressure to force residents to accept an oppressive reality.”

He stressed the importance of “resistance and protecting the gains of the people of North and East Syria.”

For her part, Ilham Ismail said: “The kidnappings and restrictions imposed on residents reflect a deep-seated hostility toward the democratic experiment that we built through great effort. But our people are aware and united — they will not allow these plots to succeed.”

Shaker Miftah pointed out that what is happening represents “a direct attack on the achievements of the peoples of the region,” adding that “the progress made in North and East Syria was achieved through great sacrifices.”

He concluded by reaffirming: “We will not accept policies aimed at weakening our will. We will continue to stand with our forces and institutions to protect our areas.”

Miftah ended by stressing that “the determination of the people of North and East Syria is stronger than all attempts to destabilize the region, and that unity around the Democratic Autonomous Administration will thwart all efforts to bring chaos back.”
