The Human Rights Organization Afrin - Syria quoted local sources as saying, “Settlers from Eastern Ghouta who live on the Taranda-Afrin road, two days ago, uprooted the trunks of olive trees from fields owned by Kurdish citizens Nouri Najjar and Haider Sheikh Hassan, using digging machineries.

The same sources said, "The same orchard located behind the Ashrafieh neighborhood had previously been subjected to an unjust cutting and felling process. Thus, the cutting process was completely completed, and the uprooted trunks were transported to the New Bridge Road to be sold."

Other local sources from the Jandaris district reported that Turkish mercenaries from the National Army cut down 25 perennial olive trees owned by the Kurdish citizen Majeed Jamil Agha, a resident of the Kaani Korek village of the Jandaris district in the occupied Afrin countryside.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, who have occupied Afrin canton since March 2018, continue to commit crimes against the remaining people of the canton and displace them, in addition to committing crimes against their nature, such as cutting down trees and bulldozing fields.
