Aleppo people continue their activities till achieving physical freedom

Under the slogan “Freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue,” the Popular Initiative for North and East Syria announced its joining of the global campaign announced under the slogan “Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue” on October 10 in 74 centers around the world. 

Within the framework of this campaign and the continued isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan and its repercussions, our agency conducted meetings with the co-chair of the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, Walet Mamo, and the representative in the council, Arin Hanan.

At the beginning of his speech, Walat denounced the Turkish occupation state's continued policy of isolation and deprivation against leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said that the conspiracy did not begin in 1999, and that he believed that its roots began long before that.

Welat described the bombing, which took place in 1996 and aimed to assassinate the leader Abdullah Ocalan, as the point from which the conspiracy network began, and said: “The capitalist forces wanted to assassinate the freedom of the Middle Eastern peoples in the person of the leader and attempt to assassinate him.”

The leader's philosophy provided solutions for all oppressed peoples

Welat emphasized that Leader Abdullah Ocalan presented a philosophy that is considered a solution for all oppressed peoples, and his products have now transcended one people or party to take on a comprehensive nature in presenting solutions, democratic projects, and true freedom that are an alternative to nation-states, an ideology competing with capitalism through the revival of united internationalism. “We saw that in the Kobani resistance.” When internationalists from all sides went to join the resistance, this made the capitalist regimes feel afraid of the spread of thought and the threads of an international conspiracy would begin.

Welat also noted that the goals of the capitalist countries in the conspiracy were foiled, as the leader’s ideas spread before and after his kidnapping. They (the conspiring countries) wanted to place restrictions on this thought, but it spread and in the face of these failed attempts, they imposed isolation and abstraction.

Welat urged reading the books of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which will ultimately lead to imitating his thought, calling on all the people of the region to acquire and read his books and learn closely about the thought of the leader of humanity and freedom.

At the end of his speech, the co-chair of the General Council of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, Welat Mamo, indicated that they will continue to work on organizing peaceful events and going to public squares to demand and achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Clinging to his idea is the best way to achieve a leader's physical freedom

In her turn, Arin Hanan, Deputy of the General Council of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, said that the month of October, which brings with it the anniversary of the leader’s departure from Syria, many tragedies, which makes them more determined to continue believing in thought, especially after it gave women the right to prove themselves.

Arin drew attention to the dirty policies pursued by the fascist powers by declaring wars on all political and economic fronts, and even traditional wars based on killing and displacement, which are to cut the ties of communication between the leader and his ideas on the one hand and those who believe in his ideas on the other hand.

Arin stressed the need to escalate the struggle to achieve intellectual freedom for people and achieve physical freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who worked to bring together all components, sects and religions under the umbrella of the democratic nation.

At the end of her speech, Arin noted that, as representatives of the women of the city of Aleppo, they will always be in public squares to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan tirelessly.
