Hasaka governor: Kurdish Language is genuine right, essential part of identity, existence

The Governor of Hasaka, Engineer Nour Eddin Ahmed, affirmed that the Kurdish language is not merely a cultural heritage, but an inherent right that cannot be marginalized or excluded, and an integral part of identity and existence. He also stressed that work is ongoing to support it, enhance its presence, and preserve it for future generations.

The Governor of Hasaka, Engineer Nour Eddin Ahmed, posted a message on his "X" platform on Friday, on the occasion of Kurdish Language Day, affirming, "On Kurdish Language Day, we emphasize that the Kurdish language is not merely a cultural heritage, but an inherent right that cannot be marginalized or excluded, and an integral part of our identity and existence."

He added that the Kurdish language has withstood attempts at erasure for decades, and survived thanks to the will of its people, and will continue to be firmly established and present in all aspects of life.

He stressed: "We are committed to supporting it, reinforcing its presence, and preserving it for future generations."
