Al-Muslet: Unifying ranks is essential to overcome challenges

The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) organized, in cooperation with the Future Syria Party, a large public meeting at the meeting hall of Om Hujeirah, a town in al-Hol city of Jazira canton, to discuss the latest political developments in Syria.

The meeting was attended by residents of the town, clans' sheikhs and representatives, and members of the Autonomous Administration institutions. The meeting began with holding a minute of silence, after which Dr. Hussein Azzam, the co-chair of the SDC's Relations Office in Jazira canton, addressed the issue of hate speech, which has increasingly prevailed in Syria, particularly in areas under the control of the Syrian Transitional Government.

Azzam emphasized that the current situation in Syria necessitates unity among all segments of society and adherence to the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) as a guarantee of continued existence and national unity.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud al-Muslet, the co-chair of the SDC, spoke about the areas of North and East Syria, describing them as promising areas capable of sending positive messages to the world despite the significant challenges and crises they have faced in recent years.

Al-Muslet emphasized that the coming phase represents a sensitive and dangerous path, requiring increased awareness among all citizens to shape the country's future in a stable manner. He stressed the necessity of unifying the ranks of the people and preventing any external parties from creating discord to divide the country and achieve their own interests at the expense of the Syrian people.

He made clear that the responsibility rests on everyone; tribal leaders, youth, women, and politicians, to ensure the avoidance of any civil or sectarian conflicts that could lead to destruction and devastation of the region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the attendees shared their opinions and inquiries regarding the political situation, in addition to submitting some service-related demands and others calling for a general amnesty for prisoners as the new year approaches.
