Afrin, Shahab residents: We to escalate our struggle to hold Turkey accountable for its crimes 

The families of the martyrs in Afrin and al-Shahba canton denounced the international powers and concerned organizations’ disregard for the genocidal attacks launched against the defensive areas, and stressed the escalation of the struggle until a firm stance is expressed by the international powers against the attacks, to hold the Turkish occupation accountable for its crimes.

The concerned countries and organizations ignore the investigation into war crimes, and have done nothing in the face of all the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state on the defense areas, including the use of internationally banned weapons. In this context, the families of the martyrs in Afrin and al-Shahba canton denounced these attacks and the international silence.

Regarding the goals of these attacks and their position, the father of the martyr Destina Afrin, a fighter in the Women’s Protection Units, Muhammad Hussein Mustafa, explained that ending the will of the peoples who seek freedom, democracy, and the Kurdish people; Because the Guerrilla forces represent this resistance, he stressed the need to escalate the struggle to pressure international powers to take a position on the ongoing crimes of the Turkish occupation and hold them accountable.

In her turn, the wife of the martyr Zanar Afrin, a fighter in the People’s Protection Units, Sherine Muhammad, condemned the Turkish occupation’s attacks on the defense areas and the international silence, and stressed, “The attacks will not deter us from continuing the struggle and resistance, because we are united in the resistance with our sons and daughters from the Guerrilla forces, and we will be liberated in the same spirit of Afrin, and we will return to our city."

For her part, the mother of the martyr Nojyan Ocalan, a member of the Rojava Youth Union (formerly), Suzanne Mulla Rashid, stressed the support of the People’s Defense Forces and the Free Women’s Protection Units - Star, in the face of all attacks, and described the attacks as “attempts to annihilate the will of the people.”

“We will continue to fight alongside our sons and daughters,” with this sentence, the father of the martyr Rojhat Afrin, a fighter in the People's Defense Forces, Rashid Muhammad, stated his position in the face of the attacks of the Turkish occupation army, and called for escalating the struggle to stop the attacks.
