The Turkish occupation mercenaries, “Military Police,” carried out a new abduction last night, targeting citizen Muhammad Arif Berri from his village of Baadina in the Mobata district of Afrin, which has been under occupation since 2018.

Local sources from Afrin reported that the abduction was accompanied by physical assault, and Berri was taken to an unknown location. As with previous cases of abduction, the family of the victim has no information about his whereabouts.

This latest incident follows the abduction of another citizen, Dalil Hassan Resho, by the Turkish occupation’s mercenaries, "Military Police", on November 23. Resho, a resident of Jindires, was taken to an unknown destination. Local sources stated that he was abducted from his home in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin.

Earlier, on Saturday, November 16, citizen Nouri Ismail Ali (46 years old) was also abducted from his home near the power station in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin.

Before that, on Thursday, November 14, mercenaries from the "Military Police" abducted Muhammad Muhammad Mustafa (42 years old) from Hulila village in Rajo district. Mustafa was targeted after demanding the return of his home near the health clinic in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin, which had been seized since 2018.

The Turkish-occupied areas in Syria have been plagued by insecurity and widespread crimes against those remaining, including killings, looting, theft, and abductions for ransom. In addition, infighting among mercenaries over displaced residents' properties has further contributed to the chaos.
