As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community engagement in major national issues, the Advisory Committee of Raqqa residents held a special meeting this morning, attended by Al-Mehbash and a wide range of representatives from various social sectors in Raqqa, including tribal leaders, political and legal elites, and intellectuals.

During the meeting, Al-Mehbash reviewed the main pathways under discussion between the two negotiating parties, emphasizing that the dialogue is taking place with a positive and constructive spirit, and that efforts are focused on securing the rights of all components of the Syrian people.

He also stressed that the Negotiation Committee aims to formulate a fair and comprehensive political solution that preserves Syria’s unity, security, and stability, while also ensuring recognition of the country’s national, political, and administrative diversity.

The attendees expressed their full support for the negotiating delegation representing them and emphasized the importance of continued coordination between political leadership and the local community. They also underscored the need for the Raqqa Advisory Committee to remain actively involved in accompanying and guiding any negotiation process to ensure representation of popular will, serve the region’s interests, and fulfill the aspirations of its people.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the people of Raqqa expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the international supporters, foremost among them the International Coalition, represented by the United States and France, for their ongoing role in supporting stability, promoting dialogue efforts, and helping to establish a democratic model within the framework of a unified, pluralistic, and participatory Syria.
