AANES abolishes customs duties with other Syrian regions

In its commitment to the unity of Syrian territories and in line with the changes that occurred in Syria, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has abolished customs duties between its regions and other Syrian areas following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

The co-chairs of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued Circular No. 32, which cancels customs duties between the Autonomous Administration’s regions and other Syrian areas. The statement reads as follows:

"In our commitment to the unity of Syrian territories and in line with the changes that occurred in Syria, represented by the fall of the Assad tyrannical regime, and given that the previously adopted measures were due to the exceptional and security circumstances in the region and the regime's siege on our areas, and with the removal of those circumstances,

The co-chairs of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria hereby issues the following:

1. Customs duties, fees, and other taxes between the Autonomous Administration's regions and other Syrian areas are hereby abolished.

2. This circular is effective as of its issuance date.

3. All concerned parties are to implement this directive."
