ISIS attack leaves 4 dead of Damascus forces in Deir ez-Zor desert

One of the guards of the oil convoys from the "Al-Qaterji" group was killed and 3 others were injured, and another was kidnapped, during the past hours, in an armed attack by ISIS mercenaries, on the concentration points of militants loyal to the Damascus government in the Kasiba field, Al-Mazraa, and Al-Kharata in the southern desert of Deir ez-Zor.

The attack was followed by the alert of those groups in the sites that were attacked, coinciding with the transfer of the wounded to the hospital to receive treatment, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

It is noteworthy that the targets are workers protecting oil wells.

The death toll during military operations within the Syrian desert, according to the documentation of the Syrian Observatory for the past year 2023, reached 629 dead, 171 citizens, and 412 members of the Damascus government forces and groups loyal to it, who were killed in 174 operations by ISIS mercenaries within separate areas of the desert, carried out through ambushes, armed attacks and bombings. In the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Homs, Suwayda, Hama, and Aleppo.

46 ISIS mercenaries were killed in clashes with Damascus government forces and Russian air strikes that targeted areas where they were hiding in various areas of the Homs desert, Suwayda, Hama, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Aleppo.
