The sixth convoy of displaced residents of Serê Kaniyê is set to depart on Wednesday from displacement camps to their areas of origin in the countryside of Serê Kaniyê (Ras al-Ayn), as well as Tal Tamr and Zirkan (Abu Rasin). The convoy is expected to include more than 600 families, while around 115 families currently residing in Serê Kaniyê are also set to return to their areas in Hasakah city.

Mahmoud Khalil, a commander in the Internal Security Forces, said the convoy would depart on Wednesday, carrying families from displacement camps back to their areas of origin.

Meanwhile, the Serê Kaniyê Displaced Persons Committee said the initial plan called for two convoys to depart each week. However, it may now be reduced to one convoy per week, with the number of participating families increased in each convoy, in accordance with the arrangements established to organize the return process.
