An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale struck N. Kurdistan, which was felt by residents of Syria.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit eastern Turkey at 10:46 AM, with a depth of 9 km and its epicenter located in Malatya. Residents of Syria and Lebanon felt the tremors.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or damage.
