Turkey's mercenaries targeted a member of the Damascus forces with sniper bullets in the Idlib countryside, leading to his death, while the targeting and mutual bombing between the two sides led to the killing of 49 people since the beginning of this month.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights a member of the Damascus government forces was killed by Al-Fatah Al-Mubin mercenaries on the axis of the village of Karsa’a in the Jabal Al-Zawiya area in the southern countryside of Idlib, within the so-called “De-escalation” zone, .

The "Al-Fath Al-Mubin" mercenaries also targeted, with a guided missile the Damascus government forces, on the Ain Issa axis, north of Latakia.

Since the beginning of this month, the region has witnessed the killing of 49 people, including citizens, soldiers, and Turkish mercenaries, in exchanges of targeting between Damascus government and the mercenaries during 37 attacks.

The death toll from these clashes and the mutual bombing between the two sides has risen to 130 people in the “De-escalation” zone since the beginning of 2024, during 121 attacks that varied between sniper operations, clashes, targeting, and suicide drones. More than 56 people were injured in the aforementioned operations.
