Traffic accidents recorded in various parts of Syria between Friday, July 31, and Saturday morning claimed the lives of four people and left 25 others injured in a total of 21 incidents, according to the Syrian Civil Defense teams operating under the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management.

The Civil Defense renewed its call for drivers to adhere to road safety measures, particularly by reducing speed, ensuring vehicles are mechanically sound, especially brakes and windshield wipers, and avoiding the use of mobile phones or any behavior that may distract attention while driving, in an effort to reduce the recurrence of accidents and prevent further casualties.

As of yesterday, official data released by the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management and the Syrian Civil Defense showed that traffic accidents in Syria had killed 81 people and injured 1,299 others since the beginning of 2025 through July 20. The data also indicated that July recorded the highest number of traffic-related casualties so far this year.
