31 mercenaries and collaborators arrested in Al-Hol camp

On January 27, after the Internal Security Forces announced the launch of the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation within Al-Hol camp, the forces began moving within the most dangerous sections of Al-Hol camp, “the ISIS women’s section.”

After the launch of the campaign, women and children of ISIS mercenaries in the “ISIS women’s section” threw stones at journalists and security forces, wounding one of the reporters.

On the first day of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, the Internal Security Forces found mines during the combing operation.

The Internal Security Forces arrested an ISIS mercenary disguised as a woman, and tunnels were found in Al-Hol camp.

As the sun set on the first day of combing operations, women and children of ISIS mercenaries tried to cause riots and chaos within Al-Haol camp. They attacked the points of the camp residents’ registration renewal teams and tried to burn the points.

January 28

On January 28, the Internal Security Forces and the forces supporting them in the “Humanitarian and Security” operation on the second day continued their combing operations inside the “ISIS Women’s Section,” and found military equipment and tools for digging trenches and shelters, and a tunnel in which two mercenaries were hiding, and they were arrested, sharp weapons were also found, and more than 80% of the section was searched, and a total of the mines that were found during the two days of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, which were seized by the Internal Security Forces in Al-Hol camp (4), and 21 wanted collaborators from ISIS cells were arrested.

January 29

On January 29, the Internal Security Forces continued their combing operations in the “ISIS Women Section”, 3 days after their operations, as they found new hideouts, arrested a number of mercenaries, found flags for ISIS mercenaries and some mercenary coins, and the Internal Security Forces seized a hand grenade and swords, along with military equipment.

On January 29, children of ISIS mercenaries lit fires and formed a ring around it, throwing stones at the participating security and military forces, and chanting slogans glorifying ISIS mercenaries while carrying knives.

A delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria visited Al-Hol camp, to see the progress of the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, led by the Internal Security Forces. The camp administration confirmed to the delegation: “Despite the organizations’ rehabilitation of children of ISIS mercenaries, they have become more extremist.”

For 3 days, the Al-Hol camp administration continued to record personal data related to women from the families of ISIS mercenaries in the “ISIS women’s sector,” which includes recording their names and taking personal photos, in addition to recording fingerprints and eye prints. The Internal Security Forces arrested 8 wanted persons, bringing the number of wanted persons arrested to 31.

During the past 3 days, the Internal Security Forces were able to comb and search the entire “ISIS women’s section.”
