3 members of Damascus forces killed in ISIS attack

3 members of the Damascus government forces were killed in an attack carried out by ISIS mercenaries on military points belonging to the Damascus government forces in the Palmyra desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, where armed clashes took place between the 2 parties, before the ISIS mercenaries fled to an unknown destination.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 2 of the dead were from the Swaydaa and the other was from Homs.

The death toll during attacks occurring within the Syrian desert, according to Observatory documents, has reached 336 people since the beginning of 2024, including 37 citizens, including a child, in attacks by ISIS mercenaries in the desert. 275 members of the Damascus government forces and groups loyal to it were killed in 118 ISIS attacks within various areas of the desert. And 24 ISIS mercenaries at the hands of Damascus government forces and its affiliated groups.

Most of these attacks occurred in the Deir ez-Zor desert, with 42 attacks, and 52 attacks in the Homs desert.
