The explosions were heard in Qamishlo, and ANHA correspondent reported that they were caused by two explosions in a building in the Western Neighborhood, near the former ice factory.

The first explosion, which occurred on the upper floor of the building, is still unknown, while the second was caused by the explosion of a diesel fuel tank on the roof of the same building.

Firefighting teams immediately intervened to control the fire that broke out in the building, and internal security forces imposed a security cordon around the area.

According to eyewitness testimonies from the same street, the first explosion was preceded by a sound similar to the passing or falling of a shell.

The internal security forces have not disclosed any information regarding the causes, and the search is still ongoing.
