2 events in Kobani on April 4th occasion

Two events were held in Kobani as part of a series of activities commemorating the birthday of Abdullah Ocalan, which falls on April 4th. In this context, the Kongra Star held a lecture at the Baqi Khedo Center for Culture and Art, with the participation of several members of various institutions, as well as political and women's figures.

During the lecture, Majida Hassoun, the head of the Women's Authority in Kobani, discussed the role of women throughout history, highlighting their contributions at different stages.

Hassoun also focused on women's rights in the Syrian constitution, stating, "Thanks to the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, women have become aware of their rights and are continuing their struggle with full force to enshrine these rights in the new Syrian constitution."

She emphasized that women should not retreat from the path of resistance and struggle, and should work to protect their gains.

While Shervan Muslim; the co-chair of Kobani University, explained the concept of the democratic nation, noting that a look back at modern history reveals that many scholars and philosophers sought to find models for organizing societal life. However, the Kurdish people have suffered for centuries from enslavement and the denial of their rights.

He added that the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan have contributed to the Kurdish people's self-awareness and understanding of their rights, encouraging them to rise up against occupation and oppression, demand their rights, and reject policies of genocide and marginalization, emphasizing that this approach continues to this day.

In a related context, the Martyrs' Families Council in the Shiran district, east of Kobani, organized a celebration for the martyrs' children in the council's hall.
