People of Hasaka protest against international conspiracy, Turkish assaults

Under the slogan “With the unity of the peoples, we will defeat the attacks of Turkish fascism and liberate leadee Apo,” the people of Al-Darbasiyah and the city of Hasaka went out in two separate demonstrations to denounce the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan on this day, October 9, 1998, and to denounce the occupation of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi.

In the Al-Darbasiyah, the demonstrators gathered in front of the Hajj Sultan Mosque, heading towards the Central Market Street in the center of the city, carrying pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and chanting slogans saluting the leader Abdullah Ocalan and denouncing treason and the occupation.

After arriving there, the demonstrators observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the souls of the martyrs. Then the administrator of Kongra Star in the district, Daniel Sheikhi, gave a speech in which she denounced the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Turkish occupation attack on Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi.

She added: "The occupation of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi, the attacks on NE Syria, and the targeting of infrastructure today are a continuation of the international conspiracy that targeted the leader and aim to keep him away from the people and annihilate the people."

The administrator of the Community Protection Forces, Imad Berro, also gave a speech in which he touched on the motives of the international conspiracy, saying: “The international conspiracy targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan because he did not accept authority and slavery, and through the conspiracy they tried to end the Kurdistan freedom movement and exterminate the freedom-loving people, but the leader’s resistance Apo failed all plans."

He stressed: "No matter what plans are hatched against us, we will maintain our pledge to leader and the martyrs.

Hasaka

As for the city of Hasaka, the demonstration began from the Al-Sabagh roundabout in the Al-Mushirfa neighborhood to the Sinalco roundabout in the Tal Hajar neighborhood, during which participants carried banners that read, “With the unity of the peoples, we will defeat the attacks of Turkish fascism and liberate leader Apo,” and “We are the owners of the land, Erdogan is an occupier and must be tried.” ".

They also raised pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and chanted slogans that saluted the leader’s resistance.

The member of the Kongra Star Coordination in Rojava, Shiraz Hamo, denounced the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “We condemn in the strongest terms the international conspiracy that targeted the leader of humanity and peoples with the aim of breaking their will and thwarting our democratic project, in an effort to erase the Kurdish identity and dismantle the unity of the region’s components.”

She continued: "The international powers are fully aware that the peoples who have organized themselves according to the thought and philosophy of the international leader will not be able to stand in the face of their determination and resistance."

She stressed that "the solid fabric of the people of NE Syria will not disintegrate due to fascist attacks and conspiracies, but rather our resistance will increase, and we will become more committed to national unity in the face of enemies."

For his part, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hesso, stated, "We must do a lot for what the leader of humanity who sacrificed himself for the freedom of peoples gave us."

He added, "Despite all the difficulties the leader faces in Imrali prison, the strict isolation imposed on him and deprivation of all his rights and necessities of life, his resistance has not weakened for the sake of liberating oppressed peoples and all components without discrimination."

He stressed, "All the conspiracies and attacks launched by the enemy against us will not weaken our resolve to resist, nor will the enemy's attacks intimidate us. We will resist until the occupation is defeated and our leader is physically liberated."

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans that salute the resistance of the people and the leader and condemn the recent attacks: “Long live the resistance of the leader,” “There is no life without the leader,” and “No to the Turkish attacks on our regions.”
