Sheikh Shamo: Şengal, Rojava are one people

Sheikh Shamo, one of the most prominent figures in Şengal, considered that any attack on Rojava is tantamount to an attack on Şengal, and said: “There is no difference between Şengal and Rojava Kurdistan. Rojava is the strongest supporter of the Yazidi community, we are one people, no one can separate us".

The Turkish occupation state attacks on vital sites, service facilities, and power stations in NE Syria have sparked widespread dissatisfaction and anger.

The Yazidi community, which achieved salvation and liberation from the decree in 2014 with the support of the People’s Protection Units, the Women’s Protection Units, and the people of Rojava considers that the attacks on Rojava as if they were on the Yazidi community.

Shamo said: “The Barzani family has placed Başûr Kurdistan under the control of the Turkish state and Erdogan, but Rojavay Kurdistan and the Syrian Democratic Forces represent the will of the people, that is why the Turkish state seeks to control Rojavay Kurdistan.”

Shamo commented on the word “terrorism” with which the Turkish occupation state describes the Kurdistan liberation movement, and said: “The whole world knows who the terrorist is. The terrorist and the enemy of humanity is the one who attacks with missiles and chemical weapons. We call on all parties concerned to put an end to Erdogan’s attacks, so why International organizations and powerful countries remain inaction about these attacks?

“Is Şengal located on the Turkish border, why you are attacking it? But the Kurdish people will not remain silent about their attacks anymore. No one will be able to trade our rights, land, and homeland.” Shamoadded.

Sheikh Shamo concluded: “We owe to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which defeated ISIS. "

"We will not be safe and stable if they attack Rojava, even if they do not attack Şengal, so we consider these attacks a danger to Şengal as well. Rojava and the Syrian Democratic Forces represent our strongest supporter, and there is no difference between Şengal and Rojava Kurdistan, and we are all ready to defend Rojava."

Sheikh Shamo called on the entire Kurdistan people to show unity and solidarity in the face of the Turkish attacks.
