AANES announces the cessation of the rehabilitation of juveniles of ISIS

The Office of Justice and Reform Affairs in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced the suspension of the rehabilitation process in two centers specialized in the rehabilitation of juvenile ISIS mercenaries.

This came during a written statement published by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria today, on its websites on virtual communication platforms.

The statement indicated that the results of the Turkish bombing on correctional and rehabilitation centers for ISIS mercenaries are negative and dangerous, especially in terms of security and services.

It revealed that "in light of this dangerous escalation resulting from the aggressive Turkish policy affecting the region, it is no longer possible to continue the rehabilitation and reform process, out of concern for the public safety of the workers in these centers."

The statement announced that the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has stopped the "rehabilitation process in each of the (Huri-Urkesh) centers specializing in the rehabilitation of terrorism (juveniles), in order to ensure the safety of specialists working in this field until further notice."
