Councils in Dêrik, Tirbespiyê stress unity to defeat attempts of strife

Tirbespiyê district Council and the Council of Tribal Notables in Dêrik denounced the attempts of external parties to create strife between the components of NE Syria, and stressed, “With our unity and cohesion, we will thwart all attempts of strife.”

Today, the Tirbespiyê district Council in Qamishlo Canton made a statement to public opinion, denouncing the attempt of external parties to create strife in the region and exploit the events of Deir ez-Zor in order to strike at the security, stability, and unity of the peoples in NE Syria.

The statement was read by the prominent figure of the Bani Sabaa clan, Hussein Al-Sada.

The statement stressed, "What is happening in Deir ez-Zor, and the attack by some gangs and foreign parties on our people there, is an attempt to bring darkness back to the region that was liberated from terrorism through the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs."

The statement continued, "Those who are attacking from the west of the Euphrates are the remnants of ISIS mercenaries, drug dealers, and the so-called National Defense Forces, who have no connection to the tribes and are fighting our children."

The statement stressed, "With our unity and solidarity, we will protect our existence and foil all attempts to spread discord among the components of the region, until we reach democratic decentralization for all Syrians."

The statement called on the people of Deir ez-Zor to "be careful and not be drawn into the sedition being hatched against the region by external forces to undermine its security and stability, which know that the Syrian Democratic Forces are the safety valve for the Syrian people."

In this context, the Council of Tribal Notables in Dêrik made a statement, which was read in front of the Council building by the Council’s spokesman, Sinan Mohsen Ahmed.

The statement condemned "these criminal acts aimed at inter-clan fighting in order to undermine the unity and solidarity of the components of the region."

The statement called on "all clans in the region to stand side by side to defend the dignity of the components of the region without discrimination until all goals are achieved in consolidating the principles of brotherhood and enhancing security and stability."

The statement stressed, "We will not allow anyone to infiltrate among us and spread discord. Victory goes to our forces, and disgrace and disgrace go to traitors and enemies of humanity."
