SDF arrested a member of ISIS mercenary cells in Deir ez-Zor countryside
In a joint security operation, the Syrian Democratic Forces arrested a member of ISIS mercenary cells, who was active in supplying the mercenaries with weapons and ammunition and financing them to carry out terrorist operations.
The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF published a statement on its official website, in which it announced the arrest of a member of ISIS mercenary cells in an operation carried out by the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) of the SDF, in cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan Region (CTG) and the International Coalition Forces.
The media center indicated that the operation was carried out in the village of Albu Netil, affiliated with the town of al-Sour in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, noting that it took place on Friday, September 15, after careful aerial surveillance by the International Coalition Forces.
It stressed, "The participating forces were able to arrest the terrorist element, who was active in supplying members of the terrorist organization with weapons and ammunition, in addition to financing them to carry out terrorist operations in the region."
During the operation, the units confiscated a quantity of weapons and military equipment in his possession, namely:
