Sheikhs of Raqqa: Our people in Deir ez-Zor mustn't be drawn into enemies' plans

The sheikhs and notables of the clans of the southern countryside of the city of Raqqa called on the clans' sheikhs of Deir ez-Zor and its people not to be dragged behind the plans of the enemies and to think wisely about the consequences of this sedition and its end, and confirmed their support for the SDF.

The sheikhs and notables of the clans of the southern countryside of the city of Raqqa and members of civil institutions and people's councils in the southern countryside gathered in front of the General Council in the town of Ratla in the southern countryside of the city of Raqqa; To make a statement, that was read by sheikh of the Sabkha, Turki Al-Sawa'an, in which it reads:

"In the name of the sheikhs, notables, and sons of the southern line in Raqqa, we stand united with the SDF, which offered thousands of martyrs in order to consolidate security and stability in NE Syria and support the people of the region in managing themselves and their regions, and they established everything that guarantees that.

We, the sheikhs and notables of the people of the region, stand side by side with the SDF in enhancing security and fighting the cells linked to the Turkish, Iranian and Syrian regimes in their hostile efforts against the AANES project by those dictatorial regimes; to strike stability and security by igniting strife and attacking the components of the people with each other, as happened in Deir ez-Zor, through cells in the region, and Turkey moves whenever it wants and tries to abort the will of the people in Suwayda, Aleppo and the regions that saw the only way to get rid of these authoritarian regimes is to implement the AANES project.

Our people in Deir ez-Zor, with all its clans, should not be dragged behind schemes that serve the enemies of the Autonomous Administration project, and not stand with the regimes that seek to break the unity of the people of the region in peaceful coexistence and work to restore chaos to achieve their goals, and we affirm once again support for the "Security Enhancement" operation, which guarantees the stability of the region and guarantees the dignity of its people and the solidarity of its components".
