Manbij people call for leader physical freedom

The people of NE Syria escalated their struggle by all means to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan, and from the sit-in tent erected in the city of Manbij, the people stressed the need to raise the pace of struggle and sacrifice until the end of the isolation imposed on the leader and his physical freedom.

In this regard, a member of the Manbij Martyrs' Families Council and its countryside, Fatima Muhammad Ali, said: "We, the families of the martyrs, organized the sit-in tent for the leader with the aim of breaking the isolation imposed on him, and demanding his physical freedom, because the leader has the greatest credit for achieving peace in our regions, and thanks to his thought and philosophy, he granted us freedom, and he gave us lessons in sacrifice and struggle in order to achieve democracy and brotherhood of peoples".

At the end of her speech, she added: "The leader Ocalan is the leader of peace and humanity, the leader who fought for the freedom of women, granted us our rights through his free and democratic thought, and we continued on this path to fulfill the wishes of the leader".

Member of the Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan in Manbij, Hussam al-Shawakh, said: "With the invitation and coordination of the Council of Martyrs' Families and the Syrian Initiative for the Leader's freedom, we organized the sit-in tent activity for 3 days to demand the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, to end his isolation and to check on his health, with the participation of the people of the city and its countryside with all its components and civil institutions.

He continued, "30 months ago, strict isolation was imposed on the leader, and he was prevented from meeting his family and his lawyer, and his health status was not disclosed, knowing that the leader is over 80 years old.

He added, "The Turkish occupation authorities have disregarded all international covenants and treaties in dealing with the leader, and have not taken into account his age, and there is no law in the world that imprisons a person of this age for 25 years, especially since this person is a philosopher, and leader of the peace and brotherhood project in the Middle East”.

Al-Shawakh pointed out that all the political leaders and revolutionary fighters who were arrested were not treated as the leader Abdullah Ocalan, such as Nelson Mandela and Muhammad Mahatir Muhammad, and said: "They had the right to visit their families and their lawyers and check on their health periodically, but the leader, Ocalan, is in a vague state on the part of Turkey, which is practicing all kinds of torture, pressures and threats on him”.

At the end of his speech, Ahed Hussam al-Shawakh concluded, "From under this tent, which is considered one of the means of struggle for the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, we promise the leader to continue the struggle; with seminars, meetings, dialogues, marches, and sit-ins for the leader's physical freedom”.
