Syrians refuse to settle strangers in their homes

Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, Turkey has used the Syrians as a tool to achieve its interests in occupying the Syrian lands, at the expense of the people and their aspirations, especially with regard to the refugees among them, who went to Turkey, which opened the way for their entry, and used them as a blackmail card against the European Union countries on the external level, and a tool to cover up its policies at the internal level, and as a means to achieve its goals in the Syrian regions it occupies.

The displaced woman says about the city of Afrin, which was occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries in March 2018, Berivan Mahmoud, who now lives in the city of Manbij: “With the start of the Syrian revolution, Turkey opened its borders with the aim of benefiting from and exploiting the refugees, and opened camps for them to put pressure on European countries and organizations under the pretext of supporting refugees, but the reality is It was different, as this support was going to the mercenaries."

Berivan Mahmoud added, "The Justice and Development Party pressured the opposition parties to grant citizenship to loyal Syrians, in order to take advantage of their votes in the elections. Today, the reality has changed, and the focus has become on deporting Syrians, and the true intentions of Turkish officials towards the Syrian people have been revealed."

Sources revealed to ANHA's agency that the Turkish occupation authorities have deported more than 12,000 families from different regions in Syria since the beginning of this year and settled them in the occupied areas.

Today, Turkey is exploiting the refugees, by deporting them to the occupied areas, and settling them there in place of the people of the region who were displaced by the occupation, under the name of "voluntary return", according to what the displaced people confirm from their homes and properties, who live in the Autonomous Administration areas.

Berivan Mahmoud explained that the city of Afrin is witnessing a demographic change through the settlement of strangers in their homes, and in the settlements it establishes in the region, and she said: "The goal of building settlements is to settle those who do not resist the occupation and legitimize it, while the original indigenous people of the Kurds and Arabs of all components are forcibly displaced by it."

Jihan Bish Alo, a resident of the Turkish-occupied countryside in al-Shahba canton, since 2018, confirmed that Turkey is exploiting the Syrian refugee file and said: "After the Turkish officials finished exploiting the Syrian refugees to achieve their interests, they are forcibly deporting them today, and settling them in The areas they occupied in Syria, such as Serêkaniyê/ Rasl Al-Ain, Tal- Abyad, Afrin and al-Shahba, their goal is demographic change and replacing the resistance fighters in the region with people who do not oppose its policies.

Changing the national identity of the Syrians

The citizen Abdul Qadir Al-Hussein, one of the displaced from the city of Idlib occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries, and the displaced to the city of Manbij, agrees that the Turkish occupation state, since its intervention in the Syrian crisis, has worked to change the national identity of the Syrians, and he explained: "Turkey imposes its currency and language, and announces settlements to be settled the mercenaries' families from other regions."

He expressed his refusal to return to the occupied territories, due to the crimes they are witnessing, and his rejection of the demographic change that the Turkish state intends to, and the stay of strangers in their homes from which they were displaced.

Abdul Qadir Al-Hussein said: "The displacement of the Syrian regime has facilitated the demographic change operations that Turkey is embarking upon, and it has also facilitated its exploitation of the Syrians, after it expelled them from the areas under its control, from Damascus, Homs, Hama, Daraa, and others. Today, Turkey is working to exploit these refugees to change the demography of the areas it occupied."
