Girê Spî Council warns of the consequences of deportation

In the recent period, the pace of deportations of Syrian refugees in Turkey has accelerated with the aim of settling them in the areas occupied by the Turkish occupation state in northern Syria, to reach its highest level during the current month, and the main goal is to bring about demographic change and Turkification of the occupied areas according to systematic plans implemented by the Turkish occupation state.

Thousands of deported Syrians have arrived in the occupied areas since the beginning of this year, coinciding with the Turkish occupation state’s implementation of its settlement policy in cooperation with Pakistani, Chechen and Gulf brotherhood associations, especially as it established a number of settlements in the occupied Afrin canton and other areas in north-western Syria.

During the current month of July, ANHA agency documented the arrival of more than 250 refugees to the occupied canton through the Girê Spî border gate, as the Turkish occupation state deported in the first week of this month 160 Syrian refugees, most of them from the cities of "Hama, Aleppo, Idlib and other cities", followed by the deportation of 42 others, bringing the total to 202 refugees, as part of its settlement project in the occupied areas, and during the past week it deported 4 families and a number of young men, to increase the number To more than 250 deported Syrian refugees with the aim of resettlement within the occupied Girê Spî canton during the current month.

According to a local source from the occupied canton, these refugees are settled in the homes of the forcibly displaced (the indigenous population), and they are freed to seize the property of the displaced, especially agricultural lands, to cultivate in cooperation with the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation.

The deputy co-chairmanship of the Girê Spî Canton Council, Hazaa Muhammad, warned of the consequences of resettlement politicians within the canton because of their effects in changing the demographics of the occupied canton and changing its demographics, which the Turkish occupier has always worked on since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. In order to achieve his ambitions to annex these lands to his "alleged Empire".

Hazaa Muhammad indicated that the Turkish authorities are working to deport the Syrian refugees who are on Turkish territory as part of a well-thought-out plan aimed at settling them in the homes and properties of the forcibly displaced people who emigrated after its occupation of the canton following the aggression of October 9, 2019.

Muhammad Mudhi denounced the Turkish occupier and its mercenaries in cooperation with Muslim Brotherhood associations (Qatari-Kuwaiti and other regional ones) in an attempt to sow "extremist ideology" and install the settlement plan, taking advantage of the international forces calling for the implementation of international resolutions, including International Resolution 2,254 calling for a solution to the Syrian crisis.

Muhammad called on the international forces to intervene to stop the Turkish policy of deporting refugees and settling them in the occupied territories at the expense of the forcibly displaced from them, and to work to secure a safe return for them to their homes and villages after the occupier is expelled from them.

Our agency has documented the entry of more than 22,000 refugees into the occupied Girê Spî canton, since the Turkish authorities announced in early April 2022 the deportation of one million refugees to the occupied areas of Syria.
