Education Body explains the reason for closing private institutes

On July 3, the Education Committee in Raqqa issued a decision to completely close private educational institutes in the city of Raqqa and its countryside, based on the directives of the Education Body of the Autonomous Administration.

On this issue and its repercussions and importance, ANHA's agency met with the deputy co-chairmanship of the Education Authority in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Azad Barazi, who said, "This decision was taken based on the general directives of the Education Body in northern and eastern Syria, and this decision did not come in vain, but rather It came as a result of repeated complaints by parents against private institutes."

He pointed out, "The problem begins when education turns into a trade. When education turns into a material value, it loses its value in the first place. We in North and East Syria have a general rule that education is free and a right for all members of society. We also say to every individual in northern and eastern Syria the right to education. When the matter turns into a material value, it is rejected by the Autonomous Administration and rejected by society.

And Barazi indicated that the Education Authority has opened public institutes in North and East Syria, and added, "There are 40 public institutes in the city of Raqqa and its countryside. Perhaps these institutes are not sufficient to cover all students in Raqqa for the preparatory and secondary degrees, but the Education Committee in Raqqa is seeking to open other institutes." As needed".

He stressed, "All the institutes in the region have specialized and highly qualified educational staff, and that the aim of opening these institutes is to remove education from commercial value and to achieve the right to education for all members of society and students, in addition to the low wages of these institutes that will be commensurate with the income of citizens, and the Education Committee will bear a large financial burden on behalf of the students.

In the conclusion of his speech, Barazi explained, "The institutes in North and East Syria are open to all male and female teachers in the region, and we hope that they will live up to the moral and human responsibility towards the people of North and East Syria."
