People of Hasaka call for achievement leader's physical freedom

The Turkish occupation state prevents the family of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his lawyer from meeting with him, and approved on April 27 to extend the ban on meeting him for another 6 months.

Nothing is known about the leader Abdullah Ocalan, since March 25, 2021, which raises concerns among the components of the region.

The citizen, Salman Nouhi, from Tal Tamr district of Hasaka canton, indicated that the goal of the Turkish occupation state in tightening the isolation on the leader, Abdullah Ocalan is to separate the people from their leader, and eliminate their free and democratic thought.

Nouhi stressed, "No matter how much you isolate our leader, you will not be able to distance us from his democratic ideology, which has become rooted in our minds and has become a role model throughout the Middle East."

He added, "We will follow the leader's approach and ideology, and we will not abandon him until the last drop of blood, and we will achieve his physical freedom, and raise the pace of struggle, by continuing the activities that condemn and oppose the policies of the Turkish occupation state."

At the end of his speech, Nouhi called on the peoples yearning for democracy in Bakur Kurdistan to rise up with them in the face of the practices of the Justice and Development Party to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

For her part, citizen Sana Hammoud noted that the practices of the Turkish occupation state towards the leader Abdullah Ocalan are criminal practices against humanity, and she said: "The leader Ocalan was arrested because of his struggle for all peoples yearning for freedom and for the sake of humanity."

She added, "The Turkish occupation's goal of isolation is to eliminate the democratic project and exterminate the people of the region."

At the end of her speech, Sana Hammoud criticized the Committee Against Torture (CPT) for not carrying out its humanitarian duties regarding what leader Abdullah Ocalan is being subjected to, "CPT must pressure the Turkish occupation to reveal his health condition and allow his family and lawyer to visit him."

For her part, citizen Yasmine Khalil called on countries that claim to be democratic to break its silence regarding the practices of the Turkish occupation state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and to intervene quickly to achieve his physical freedom.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been detained for more than 24 years in Imrali Island prison, following an international conspiracy carried out by international and regional powers, in 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed him over to the authorities of the Turkish occupation state.

The leader is subjected to "disciplinary penalties" from time to time, imposed by the Turkish occupation authorities.
