Women of Deir Ezzor slam murders of women in occupied territories

The denunciation came after a Kurdish woman from the village of Sheikh in Rajo district in occupied Afrin was killed with a sharp tool by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, who looted and burned the house to hide the evidence.

The areas occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries in Syria are witnessing a significant increase in the number of murders and rapes of women and children. In early May alone, two girls (10 and 14 years old) were subjected to two crimes of rape by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, and another Kurdish woman was killed by these mercenaries.

The Women's Committee and the office of the Zenobia Women's Gathering in Deir Ezzor condemned the killings of women in occupied Afrin, and confirmed that the aim  is an attempt to "break their will."

In two separate statements they made today, they considered all forms of violence against women a "violation of human rights," and stressed the need for women to unite and not tolerate perpetrators of violence against women in any form or under any circumstances.

They called on the international human rights bodies to stop these brutal crimes against women, stressing, "We, women, will resist these crimes, and hand in hand we will resist the violence against women."
