Leader Ocalan's lawyers submit new request to meet with him
The leader's lawyers, Abdullah Ocalan, submitted a new request to meet their client, who has been in strict isolation for more than two years.
The lawyers of the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, who are in charge of the defense of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Rezan Sarija, Radia Ozturk, and Mazloum Deng, submitted a request to the Public Prosecution Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate in order to meet the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who is detained in Imrali under the most difficult conditions for more than two years.
The lawyers also reviewed the same institutions in order to meet the other prisoners in Imrali, Umar Khairi Kunar, Hamili Yıldırım and Vesi Aktaş.
Al-Asr issued a written statement on May 2, in which it said: "We have not received any information from the leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 25, 2021."
Al-Asr said in the statement: "While the lawyers and families submit requests to meet Ocalan, we do not know the living and health conditions of Abdullah Ocalan and the other three prisoners in Imrali, this situation worries us."
