​​​​​​​Babayan: Strong collaboration between Kurds- Armenians will put an end to Turkish violations 

With the advent of 108 years since the Ottoman massacres against the Armenians, which claimed the lives of about one and a half million Armenians, 32 countries in the world now recognize this massacre and describe it as a genocide.

On the twenty-fourth of April, the world commemorates the anniversary of the genocide committed by the Ottomans - which is still continuing at the hands of Erdogan - and is described as the "first ethnic genocide" in the twentieth century.

However, recognizing the massacre as genocide did not deter the Turkish states from committing other massacres against the Armenians and other nationalities (Arabs, Kurds and Greeks), as the occupying state continues the genocide against the Syrians (Kurds and Arabs) and against the Armenians in Karabakh.

Advisor to the President of the Republic of Artsakh, David Babayan, in an exclusive interview with ANHA’s agency, considered "the genocide of the Armenians, Kurds, Yazidis, Assyrians and Greeks committed by Turkey as one of the most serious crimes in human history."

"Turkey's policy of genocide towards the Armenians and Kurds continues," he added, noting that "it can be said that this is the longest process (genocide) in history."

The advisor to the President of Artsakh confirms that Turkey and its collaborators "continue to commit massacres and deportation against these Armenians and Kurds in different regions, as well as denying these crimes and fighting any country or organization that recognizes the Turkish policy of genocide," pointing out that "Artsakh is considered one of the most important goals of the genocide that it carried out." As for ways to stop the Turkish policy of genocide, Babayan called on the international community to condemn Turkey and Azerbaijan for their crimes, and pressure them to recognize the crimes of genocide committed. However, from a practical point of view, this is an imaginary matter, according to Babayan, because the current values are based only on interests, adding that there are different countries and forces that directly and indirectly support, protect and encourage Turkey and Azerbaijan, and for this reason there must be a multi-track approach.

David Babayan considers that the essence of the issue is working with various countries and international organizations to achieve recognition and condemnation of crimes, but he called for additional paths to be pursued, in parallel, and for strong alliances and cooperation between victims and countries to stand together against the Turkish-Azerbaijani genocide.

The advisor to the President of Artsakh also stressed the need for there to be close alliance and cooperation between the Kurdish and Armenian peoples, noting that the two peoples suffered a lot from the Turkish state and close cooperation here is normal.

Babayan explained that the close cooperation between the Kurdish and Armenian peoples "will show the alliance of Christian Armenians and Muslim Kurds as well, and that crime against humanity does not recognize religion, and it is also unacceptable for all religions, especially for such world religions." Besides, this close cooperation and alliance will eradicate the remnants of some problems in the past related to the strife that Turkey spread between the Kurds and Armenians, according to Babayan.
