Red Wednesday celebration kicks off in Amuda

A short while ago, the activities of the celebration of the Red Wednesday holiday-the Yazidi New Year were launched in the Jazera region, in the presence of hundreds of Yazidis and the Syriac and Arab components.

Today marks the Red Wednesday-the Yazidi New Year for the members of the Yazidi community, and on this occasion, the Yazidi House in Jazera region organized a celebration in the village of Diger in Amuda district.

The celebration of the Red Wednesday is attended by hundreds of Yazidis, representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the Jazera region, members of civil institutions, women's movements and organizations, delegations from the Arab and Syriac components, political parties, and the sheikhs and notables of the Kurdish and Arab clans.

The celebration includes the presentation of religious hymns for the Red Wednesday Eid, and a speech by the co-chair of the Yazidi House in the Jazera region, Suleyman Hamo and Layla Mahno, and a speech by the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Gharib Hesso.

The celebration will include a musical performance by the (The Martyr Ezda), a dance performance by the bands (Lalesh and Ezda).
